The Beginning of TTS
established in 2015
In the summer of 2015, a group of transfer students decided to take matters into their own hands and establish an organization where no transfer would ever struggle at UT Austin again. Texas Transfer Students (TTS) is a student organization created by transfer students, for transfer students, to help with the transition into life as a Longhorn. Our goal is to simply help out all transfer students. We know how tough it can be to go to such a big school with so many opportunities, and want to help other students have an easier time than we did.
TTS has been committed to connecting transfer students, sharing the ins and outs of UT and the city of Austin, and educating members on all the resources campus has to offer. With the goal to help as many transfers as possible, students can join at any time during the semester.
As the winner of Best Academic Organization for the 2017 Swing Out Awards, we take much pride in our mentorship program. Learn with your own personal mentor in the classes you struggle with. Bond over similar interests as they help you discover different social activities at UT and around Austin.
socials & events
Be involved with our multiple on-and off-campus activities, ranging from general meetings, socials, game nights, and campus resources finds to larger events such as exploring around Austin, Alumni Weekend, and holiday exclusive banquets. Build lifelong friendships with other transfers so you can start to make UT your home.
a new family
Around 2,500 undergraduates transfer to UT every fall. We're familiar with the struggles transfers face and we believe we're the solution. From the moment you join Texas Transfer Students, you've instantly gained access to sustained advising, abundant of resources and, of course, amazing friends.
Welcome to your new family.
